Dalam trailer dari game yang dibuat oleh 505 Games & Rebellion ini, bisa kita lihat bagaimana gameplay Sniper Elite V2 tersebut. Mulai dari mengendap-endap dibelakang musuh, menyingkirkan mereka secara diam-diam, membuat jebakan, & menghabisi beberapa musuh dengan senapan sniper. Ditambah bonus sebuah killcam dengan efek slow motion mengikuti lesatan peluru & menembus tengkorak musuh.
Sniper Elite V2 adalah game yang bertema Perang Dunia II dengan setting pertempuran di Berlin tahun 1945 antara Jerman & Uni Sovyet. Genre yang diusung game ini adalah shooter dengan pandangan first-person & third person.
Rebellion juga membuka beberapa detail mengenai game ini. Diantaranya simulasi sniping yang memperhitungkan aspek gravitasi, percepatan peluru, arah & kecepatan angin, dll. X-Ray Kill Cam yang memperlihatkan bagian dalam tubuh manusia saat ditembus peluru.
